About Randall — The Story Behind Unfiltered
I’ve spent my life following curiosity. It’s taken me across the country and around the world, into boardrooms, vineyards, kitchens, and conversations that shaped how I see people and place. That same curiosity eventually led me to create Unfiltered — not as a second act, but as the natural continuation of what I’ve always done: connect people, open doors, and create environments where meaningful experiences can unfold.
Growing up in many different places taught me early that perspective is everything. A semester in Europe deepened that understanding, turning travel into a way of learning about people rather than simply moving between destinations.
Professionally, my path has never been linear. I spent decades in both the public and private sectors, leading teams, developing talent, and building trust in complex environments. My work centered on people — understanding them, supporting them, and helping them navigate meaningful decisions. At the same time, curiosity quietly pulled me toward something more hands‑on: vineyards, farming, and the craft of wine.
I started learning at a winery part‑time, became fascinated by the entire process, and eventually bought raw land on Red Mountain (Washington). That land became Corvus Vineyard and Corvus Cellars in Walla Walla, Washington, where I learned patience, craftsmanship, hospitality, and the simple truth that some of life’s best conversations happen when people feel genuinely welcomed. Those years gave me relationships built over decades — inside cellars, around tables, and in moments most travelers never see.
Curiosity matters most when it leads to action. I’ve always been willing to take the next step, ask the next question, or explore the unfamiliar path. That mindset has led to friendships, partnerships, and opportunities that changed careers, businesses, and sometimes just an evening. For more than thirty years, I’ve been making introductions — between people, places, and ideas. The best ones create momentum. They open doors. They spark possibilities.
That’s the foundation of Unfiltered.
Unfiltered is the natural extension of that work — a boutique practice built on human connection. I design personal, insider experiences shaped by the people who bring a place to life — winemakers, growers, artisans, thinkers, and cultural stewards. No templates. No packaged itineraries. Just meaningful access, intentionally crafted and personal by design.
I’m not a tour guide or a travel agent. I’m a host — someone who understands how to create the right conditions for memorable experiences: the right pace, the right atmosphere, the right conversation. Someone shaped by decades of relationships, deep knowledge of wine country and culture, and a track record of creating environments where people feel welcomed, seen, and connected. Someone who believes the most valuable part of any journey isn’t the itinerary; it’s how you feel while you’re living it.
Unfiltered is for people who value experiences over possessions, who appreciate craftsmanship and hospitality, who linger over dinner, and who want stories they’ll still be telling years from now.
Above all, it’s for the curious.
